8-Week Small Group
For Middle & High School Girls
Every Wednesday from February 1st - March 22nd
The CARE Club is one of several programs offered through the Diamond In The Rough CARE Project which focuses on mental health, wellness and self-care. The CARE Club is specifically designed to provide a safe space for girls to connect as they learn to Cope, develop Awareness, build Resilience and be Empowered. The virtual interactive sessions offer girls positive solutions which help them build skills which help them navigate the challenges of life to process the overwhelming social and emotional impact of a global pandemic. Through the collaboration of professional counselors, organizations and sponsors, participants have an opportunity to be informed and engage in mental wellness learning in a virtual setting. Through evidenced-based tools and techniques, participants will build coping skills which support mental wellness. NOTE: The CARE Club should not take the place of professional counseling or psychiatric care |

PARTNERING AGENCY
Diamond In The Rough will be hosting our 8-week sessions which will be facilitated by Hopebound.
Hopebound believes all children deserve access to one-on-one mental health services regardless of their family or schools' ability to pay for this support. They provide weekly, video-based teletherapy to under-resourced middle school and high school students at no or low-cost. In addition to working directly with families, they partner with schools and afterschool programs in Georgia and New Jersey to support adolescents through affordable and proven therapy interventions.
Thier therapy services are provided by pre-licensed therapists, who are master’s students studying counseling, social work, clinical psychology, or marriage and family therapy, and pursuing licensure. They provide talk therapy services under professional supervision in order to earn hours. The supervisor is a licensed mental health clinician who meets with Hopebound counselors weekly to review their cases and support them to serve their clients in the best manner possible.
