CARING FOR CARMEN
Clothing, Cash & Catering/Baking Supply Drive

DONATE NOW
The night of April 12th created a devastating loss for Carmen, her 3 daughters (ages 10, 13 & 15), and her mother who suffers from MS. The burning flames caught Carmen off guard as she watched everything she and her family owned burn in flames.  Although they were all blessed to make it out safely, they lost everything.

We invite you to join the members of Diamond In The Rough Youth Development (DITR), an award-winning, faith-based, non-denominational, youth development and leadership program as we show support to this family in need.  We are inviting people to contribute to the families GoFundMe and also support by providing the following donated items at our Caring for Carmen Drive
Sunday, May 2, 2021
1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Diamond In The Rough Office
2140 McGee Road | Snellville, GA 30078

A GoFundMe account has been set up by the family and we will be collecting NEW and gently worn clothing, small household items, and baking supplies (to replace items destroyed for small business).

The clothing sizes and household items needed are as follows:
  • Pants – Women's 7,13, 14, 16
  • Shirts – 13, 14, Adult Small, Extra Large
  • Underwear, socks
  • Shoes (sizes 5, 6, 7, 8, 10)
  • School supplies (including laptops)
  • Household items (curtains, shower curtains, towels, wash clothes, etc.)
  • Small appliances (microwaves, toasters, silverware, dishes, etc)
  • Baking supplies (cake & cupcake pans, AmeiriColor Gel food color, edible printer, sprinkles, cake boxes, mixing bowls, bundt cake pans, food extracts, airbrush machine)
  • Gift cards (including Wal-mart, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Ikea, VISA, etc.)

Large furniture will not be accepted on-site, however, if you have items you would like to purchase or donate for her home, you can contact family member, Slonda at 770-828-9802 for separate pick-up coordination.

As Carmen and her family dive into rebuilding and gaining stability, the support and blessing of others will help with lifting some of the burdens of starting completely over. Thank you in advance for your support!

PLEASE NOTE:  All volunteers will be following Covid-19 protocol and all safety measures which include social distancing & wearing masks.
