They create multiple images called frames, which when sequenced together create an illusion of movement - this is known as animation. Animators have created some of the movies you’ve probably enjoyed. We invite you to come and learn the basics of animation and make your very first animation movie.

Determine the type of mini movie you would like to create selecting from the themes below:
  • GIRL IN MOTION - create a story about a girl with speed or acceleration. Ex. A girl being able to run fast and saves people.   
  • TransformHER -  create a story about a girl being transformed into another shape, being, inanimate object.
  • A Girl’s Life - create a story that depicts the day in the life of a girl your age.
  • Shero’s - create a story about a female superhero (i.e. one who  saves others, animals, the environment, etc.) She can  have special powers but is not required to.
  • HerStory - create a story about a woman that you admire.
